What are MX Bikes bike templates?
A bike template is a ready-to-edit file, usually a layered PSD, that maps the parts of an MX Bikes bike so you can paint your own livery: plastics, number plates, graphics, seat cover and more. The template shows the exact layout, so your artwork lands where you expect it.
Templates save paint makers hours of trial and error and are the best starting point if you want to create and sell your own paints.
How to choose
Check which bike the template fits (brand, model and year), the file format and resolution, and whether guides, masks and part names are included. A finished paint made with the template shows what is possible.
What to check before you buy
- Which bike and model year does it fit?
- Is it a layered PSD or a flat image?
- What is the resolution?
- Are guides and masks included?
- May I sell paints made with it?
Bike Templates FAQ
Can I sell paints made from a template I bought?
Only if the licence allows it. Ask the creator and keep their credit if they ask for it.
Do I need Photoshop?
Layered PSD files open in Photoshop and in several free alternatives that support PSD.
Is a template the same as a paint?
No. A template is an empty base to paint on; a paint is a finished livery.
